APPOINTMENT OF OUR NEW INCUMBENT

On Sunday the 4th July the PCC were pleased to announce that our new Rector is to be the Reverend Gill Henwood. She will be installed, hopefully, by the end of October.

She has a husband, Stephen, and three grown-up children Peter, Kathleen (Katie) and Clare. Currently she is Vicar of St James' Parish Church Riding Mill Northumberland. Gill was sponsored for Ordination by St Wilfrid's, Ribchester so knows us well of old.

Please pray for her and her family as they prepare for the move here, that they will enjoy their new life at St Wilfrid's and for the Riding Mill parish as they begin to fill their vacancy.

We now have the date of Gill's licensing service - Thursday 28th October at 7.30pm taken by The Right Reverend Nicholas Reade, Bishop of Blackburn, followed by refreshments in the Hall. This is an open invitation to all in the Parish.
