Music at St Wilfrid's

Music Makers

Music Makers is a village community choir of around 20 members, which meets regularly to practise together. With a mix of many genres of music, there is always something for everyone. The choir occasionally sings anthems for weddings in the church by arrangement.

Music Makers also performs a wider repertoire of music at occasional special concerts, held in the church, Ribchester Village Hall or elsewhere around the Village. For example, a charity fundraising concert held in February 2016 included songs from Merrie England, from Simon & Garfunkel and some Hungarian folk songs.

A friendly and enthusiastic group, patiently directed by Ed Haythornwhite, Music Makers meets weekly on a Thursday evening from 7:30pm - 9:00pm in St Wilfrid's church. New members are always given a warm welcome and no audition is necessary.

If you enjoy singing, just come along on any Thursday and give it a try!
