On Sunday 26th July, the PCCs of our united parishes met to hear from Brian, Sue, Alex and Anna about the learning they took from the Parish Renewal course introductory day in Chorley, and from the residential session at Whalley Abbey.
Our hope is also to include our full congregations in this initiative in the near future, but we understand that many of you are already curious. We are therefore happy to share with you:
- The 'manual' (our workbook from the Whalley Abbey residential event). Please be aware that we will re-visit sessions 1 to 6 over the next few months so there will likely be more details to follow.
- The slides from our Sunday afternoon meeting with the three PCCs. These present a summary of our activities to date, with the most important slide being the penultimate slide, which gives a summary rofour thoughts for the next steps we want to take.

The Renewal Programme Prayer
God of Mission who alone brings growth to your Church,
Send your Holy Spirit to give Vision to our planning,
Wisdom to our actions,
And power to our witness.
Help our church to grow in numbers,
In spiritual commitment to you,
And in service to our local community,
Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
